The Professor is a Scottish wet fly dating back to the 1800s.  Although not that commonly used nowadays, it  remains a solid fish catcher and a good middle dropper in a mayfly hatch. Thread: Light cahill and black uni 8/0
Tail: Red hackle fibers
Rib: Flat gold tinsel
Body: Yellow floss
Hackle: Brown hen
Wing: Mallard flank feather
